Dr. Lanfranco Zanzi

Senior Research Scientist

Lanfranco Zanzi received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in telecommunication engineering from Politecnico of Milan, Italy, in 2014 and 2017, respectively, and his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 2022. He is a Senior Research Scientist at NEC Laboratories Europe. His research focuses on network virtualization, AI/ML-driven network automation, blockchain-enabled distributed systems, and the integration of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks. His work addresses end-to-end orchestration, resource allocation, mobility and service continuity, multi-domain networking, and the design of resilient 5G, 6G and beyond mobile communication infrastructures.
