Manager, Biomedical AI
Sandra leads the Biomedical AI group on projects that address medical challenges spanning disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment. She joined NEC Laboratories Europe in 2022 as Principal Technologist of the NEC Life Science Innovation Hub. She has previously worked as a senior researcher at NEC and as Managing Director at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) Center Information System Technologies. She received her Ph.D. in Information Engineering from Università di Pisa, Italy. With her experience in interdisciplinary working environments, she aims to combine her expertise with new knowledge in healthcare to create an interdisciplinary approach to advance the biomedical domain.
